Bath time just got a lot easier with these brushes. They’re sturdy in the hand and feel well-made, and our Golden Doodle seems to genuinely enjoy them. We’ve tried them two ways — applying shampoo directly to her coat and using the brush just as a scrubber, and also filling the dispenser to let the shampoo work through as we brush. Still dialing in the “perfect amount” from the dispenser, but overall it works really well. Our little girl is 16lbs, so the size is perfect for us. For her and larger dogs, these are great. They could be a little large for very small pups. But for the money and the ease of use, these are a decent value. The set includes both fine and coarse bristles, which has been handy. When her coat is shorter, the finer brush feels gentle and does a great job. But when her ears or longer areas get a little more tangled, the coarse bristles step in and handle it without any fuss. It does best when you water down thick dog shampoo a bit and mix it in the dispenser. My two Jack Russell terriers usually hate bath time but when I use this on their backs they relax and seem to enjoy the brushing and light massage. That is a huge plus. I can brush their wire hair while shampooing and then easily pull the loose fur out and toss it. If you have thick shampoo just remember a splash of water helps it flow better. I’m very pleased with these brushes. They come in a set of two, one with course teeth and one with fine teeth which are made from a soft nylon, so they’re not all uncomfortable for your dog. They also come with brush covers for when they’re not in use. They are incredibly simple to use, simply open the lid, add your dog shampoo and push the large soft button to dispense it! They are really great quality and the handle does not slip and is very comfortable to hold. If used properly, these brushes will last a long time. They definitely work better than the last shampoo brush I had and my dog’s hair has never been softer!
